HERMENAUTICA (26)
By:
June 29, 2023
One in a series of posts featuring pages from Hermenaut, a DIY intellectual zine/journal published by HILOBROW’s Josh Glenn from 1992 through 2000-01.
One of the terrific illustrators with whom we worked was Ted Jouflas, whose Fantagraphics-published graphic novels Scary and Filthy we greatly admired. This illustration was commissioned to accompany an excerpt from David Mamet’s post-apocalyptic novel Wilson: A Consideration of the Sources. (Mamet’s agent contacted us about it; we said “OK!”)
Pub. Date: Winter 2000/2001
Theme: Stockholm Syndrome
Hermenaut: Adorno
Pages: 208
Print Run: 10,000
