Before I started writing for The Idler (c. 1995), which would result (in 1999) in my assembling for that magazine an “Idler’s Glossary” — which (in 2008) would become one of my first books with Mark Kingwell, I was engaged with the question of … let’s call it, following Paul Lafargue’s lead, the right to be lazy.
Revisiting Richard Linklater’s Slacker blurb, quoted here, it’s safe to say that for me, these have been and continue to be words to live by…
