HERMENAUTIC TAROT (66)
November 16, 2017
One in a series of 24 posts completing the HERMENAUTIC TAROT. The first 54 installments were published in late 2015 and early 2016; a proper tarot deck contains 78 cards.
The forces that direct your actions are unclear, obscured. Like the dark matter that makes up so much of the universe, their composition remains elusive. Despite your best preparations — the neat suit jacket and freshly cut cigar — all you envisage is shadow, particles that assemble but do not resolve. This is obscurity, but not obstruction. Hold your situation at arm’s length, separate it from the self, and it can be better perceived. Then close your eyes. Dark matter is only detectable by its gravitational effects: you will feel it rather than see it.
REVERSED: Watch the darkness behind your eyelids. Soon shapes will begin to emerge from the shadows.
