HERMENAUTIC TAROT (72)
December 8, 2017
You might be waiting for a long time. But you might get lucky. You’ll jump right on, find a clean seat, and travel effortlessly. There will be a winding road that takes you into hills you’ve never seen, past houses whose lit windows hint at the lives you never led. Or you might follow the lines of a grid you memorized years ago. Either way, there will be surprises. Your travels will not be alone. You will meet an intriguing stranger; you’ll open your window to discover a warm wind. A chance connection will bring you closer to your goal than the map suggested you would ever get. The driver will let you off at a stop that isn’t on the route. Your traveling companions will have answers to questions you hadn’t yet started to ask. But you must be generous and surrender your seat to those who need it more than you do. Serendipity and whimsy rule this card.
REVERSED: Shadows and budget cuts. Transit only for the urban core, with no way to get home from the last stop. A man behind you screams that he hates the chariot, everything is bullshit, and the dead sit ignored on slumped seats that are never cleaned.
