The Voynich manuscript is an illustrated codex, hand-written in an unknown script. The vellum on which it is written has been carbon-dated to the early 15th century. Most of the pages have fantastical illustrations and diagrams. The manuscript has never been deciphered, and none of the proposed hypotheses about its meaning (if there is any) have been independently verified.
The SCHEMATIZING series is — like semiotics itself — about analyzing the un-analyzable, mapping the un-mappable. One mustn’t lose perspective in doing so. That way lies madness.
