Adam McGovern is the CROSS series editor. He is very grateful to the series’ contributors, many of whom will donate their honoraria to RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services), which helps those making one of the bravest crossings, into America seeking better lives, to get legal aid and support.
The series MEDIA DIET will continue to explore the media “input” of a group of people — HILOBROW’s friends and contributors — whose “output” we admire. Here’s a sampling of our lineup for 4Q2026:

Adam McGovern (shown here) will continue to deliver over-the-transom, on-tangent essays, dialogues and subjective scholarship via his monthly-ish series OFF-TOPIC.
HILOBROW’s Josh Glenn is editor of the RADIUM AGE series of reissued proto-sf adventures from the MIT Press. Exciting forthcoming installments include four anthologies and one single-author collection; two of the anthologies and the collection are now being translated into English. Josh will oversee these projects during 4Q2026.

Josh will continue to publish EMANATIONS, a series of posts each of which features 10 of his favorite examples of Radium Age-era fine art exploring a particular proto-sf-adjacent theme. The series’ 4Q2026 installments will include:
