We are delighted to present LINOCUT 2021, a series of prints created in 2021 by HILOBROW friend Lawry Hutcheson. Also see: LINOCUT 2020.

March: Wasn’t sure if I should make this one either. Thetis learns her infant son, Achilles, is destined to die in battle, so — to make him invulnerable — bathes him in the River Styx separating the land of the living from the land of the dead. My sister-in-law was pregnant last summer, and they were told the baby had an issue with his lung and would not or might not survive. She and my brother-in-law drove every other week to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia through the summer and fall. Made a sketch but didn’t make this print until after Silas was born in October 2020 and went through surgery at 3 months. Now he’s a year old with healthy lungs!
