Beginning in March 2020, HILOBROW friend Mark Ramos Nishita (aka Money Mark) helped lift our spirits during the COVID lockdown by posting dozens of ingenious and funky “isolation jams” to his Instagram account. With Mark’s permission, over the next few weeks we will present a curated selection of this series. Click on each installment’s date to watch the video!
Isolation Jams number 28… a one string fretless electric bass is glorious. Made from a Nordic Track exerciser ski. This one is modded by Reuben @oldstyleguitarshop. Just got it running thru a cheap mini amp on full. It’s really a lot of exercise and probably a good workout after 30 minutes. (My trusty chihuahua on the back curtain.) This one I’ll dedicate to the nurses, Ddctors, janitors, cashiers, cafeteria workers, hospital engineers, security — all working tirelessly to get thru this difficult time. take care of each other!
