Author: Kurt Heynicke
Kurt Heynicke (1891–1985) was an early writer of Expressionist poetry. He fought on the French and Russian fronts during World War I. Heynicke’s works have often been described as showing an evolution towards pacifism as a result of his own awareness of a war that was becoming more and more destructive. He remained active in the literary world, mainly as a novelist and playwright, until his death.
